That depends on the meaning of "talk". I suppose, there is only
a very small chance to get help concerning PowerShell from a
dead newsgroup. But if you can show some simple PowerShell
scripts which can do what can't be done by batch scripts,
then I'm interested.

If it has nothing to do with batch file, then it shouldn't be here.

You could, in a pedantic sense : nobody will be able to stop you. :-)

But ...

This newsgroup is said to be about DOS BATCH scripting (even though the DOS
part seems, for some strange reason, to have been dropped), meaning that it
won't attract many visitors looking for PowerShell scripting.

Also, as Herbert mentioned it, there are few visitors left here to begin
with.

Bottom line, you might have a better chance finding people who know about
PowerShell scripting in the newsgroups related to the OS-es that actually
use it (W10/11 ?)

I see the newsgroup as alt.msdos.batch.nt.

So that seems like it's the NT evolution of batch files or batch files
on Windows NT (family).

I can see how the lineage might extend to PowerShell.

But as others have aptly said I don't know how much help you'll find.

`alt.msdos.batch.nt` usenet group description clearly states:
"The NT variant of MS-DOS batch files"

It refers to only one thing.

Shucks.... It looks like got stuck on the "dos", and somehow overlooked the
"nt" part. :-|

...Aren't NT and DOS mutually exclusive ?
I can see how the lineage might extend to PowerShell.
Thats what I tried to indicate too, especially as this newsgroup seems to be
near to its death.

Having said that, I still would rather see a PowerShell get its own
newsgroup.

I tried to indicate that this newsgroup has already been used for something
else than its origional purpose, but I should have added ... /something/ to
make that more clear.

Currently this newsgroup is more "
